Edison High School and was first introduced to Model UN in her freshman year. Alyna has gained MUN experience by competing in several local and international conferences, attending the MUN Institute Summer Program by Best Delegate, and volunteering as a director at TAEMUN last year. Accordingly, Model UN has now become a major part of her life. She plans to continue contributing her efforts to the organization throughout her high school years and hopes to build a legacy at Edison that will foster club and conference growth, expansion, innovation, and development well after she graduates. Outside of Model UN, Alyna is currently enrolled in two IB classes and intends to pursue an International Baccalaureate Diploma in the future. Additionally, she is an avid musician who plays the clarinet for the Virginia Winds Academy Concert Band. Alyna looks forward to hosting a memorable Seventh Session of Thomas A. Edison High School’s Annual Conference and is eager to meet everyone this December!

Assistant Secretary-General:  Anahi Sanchez-Moya

Anahi Sanchez-Moya will be serving as the Assistant-Secretary General for the seventh session of Thomas A. Edison’s Model United Nations Conference. Like many of the members on the Secretariat, this will be her second year participating in Thomas A. Edison’s Model UN. During her time at TAEMUN, she has learned countless lessons in regards to how to best apply oneself in matters of conflict and disagreement, and most importantly, she has learned how to make a change for all, even for the smallest voice in the room. In addition to Model UN, she is a recent graduate of the Global STEM Challenges Program, an IB Diploma Candidate, President of the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (Spanish Honor Society), fourth-year member of Edison’s Student Government Association, and founder of the Latinx Student Union at Thomas A. Edison High School. She’s looking forward to meeting everyone in December and aims to meet as many delegates as possible. In conclusion, her goal this year is to make TAEMUN VII a conference to remember, so to help her out, don't be afraid to ask fellow delegates, “Why do you love Model UN?”
